    Holley Fuel Inlet Washer Question

Haven't had the Vette out for about a month or so, so I get it all shined up and ready to go.
Idling on the driveway warming the BB up and I smell gas.

I lift the hood and fuel is dripping like a faucet on the second fuel block on my tri-powered 435.
It was leaking from the middle Holley Carb fuel bowl inlet.

I tried to tighten the bowl inlet fitting which had a white nylon washer with the line fitting loose;. I was getting a soft tightness feel, so I did not want to strip the bowl.inlet threads.
Removed the bowl inlet fitting , threads look perfect as does the bowl threads as well.
The white nylon washer is very brittle.

I can thread the inlet without the washer all the way in securely so this confirms the threads are good in the bowl.

    So my question is:
What is the recommended washer used with the Holley bowl inlet fitting (the one that screws directly into the Bowl?
Ive seen a very thin Holley fuel inlet washer made of steel , thin and flat, or the thicker White nylon one that I had?

What do you guys recommend and how tight do I tightness the bowl inlet fitting and line fitting? And whee can I purchase the correct bowl washer?
    Thank You All

    Al,

Here's a pic of a filter kit from Holley. It has two of the gaskets you need.

I would not use the white nylon gaskets on a bet. By the time they get tight they are distorted and leak!!!!

Probably get those filter kits from Jegs.

Try 3/8ths copper flare gaskets and that should do the trick.

Where do i get these? and are these conical seals or?

        Thanks for the response!

          Thanks Joe,

What are these washers for the inlet made out of?

Al, I get mine from the local Grangier or Amazon.
