Anyone watch My Three Sons lately? Chevrolet must have been a sponsor for the program. At the end of the show they have four models of Chevrolet's. The last being a 1963 split window coupe.

Another....Watch Perry Mason if you want to see several brands of "new" cars with good close-up shots. Paul Drake many times drives a C1 vette too.

That happened a lot back then. Every car in "Leave It To Beaver" (except Lumpy's 1940 Ford) was a Chrysler product. "The FBI", everyone drove a Ford, and in the ending credits there would usually be "Automobiles furnished by (fill in the blank) motor corporation.

Just noticed that the other day. My Three Sons on ME TV. Watch ADAM 12 see at least 2 vettes every show. Drives my wife crazy all i keep saying is camaro vette mustang.... Amazing how Police were treated in shows in the 60's and 70's not all treated like dishonest monsters like todays shows. Bewitched all chevy's and larry drove a vette.

I owned a 1963 Avanti which was used on the Mr. ED show. Newman Altman had the original Studebaker records, original order forms and type machine, for about $20 you could get an exact copy of your original factory order.
My car was built specifically to be sent to the Mr. Ed studio, periodically they would return the cars to the zone office to be sold to Studebaker dealers. I purchased this car from the son of a Studebaker dealer in L.A. he was the original owner.

Watch until the end of the show, the Chevrolet cars are used in 1962 and 1963 driving on the proving grounds while the shows credits are run.

My favorite Route 66 from the '60 Covette to the '64. I still have a couple of the TV Guides. Todd driving the '61 at Riverside was great. Hawaiian Eye had a '57 FI in an episode.

There's also a small goof in the Apollo 13 movie. Where Tom Hanks' character is driving with his wife at night in a 72 Corvette. Goof is Apollo 13 was in 1970, the 72 in the movie has the correct amber front turn signals

Everyone's seen Goodfellas at least once right? Next time you watch, in the beginning of the movie they show Ray Liotta (Henry Hill) leaning on a 65 Chevy, yet the year says it's 1963. Not Corvette, but fun to pick this stuff out.

On 'Leave it to Beaver' this morning there was a '58 'Vette in the parking lot where Wally's car wouldn't start. I've seen the '63 Chevy pics at the end of 'My Three Sons' as well. In '64/'65 they switched to Pontiac and they are called out in the credits as the supplier. As noted, Perry Mason has some good car shots as well-lots of Cadillac/Buick/Lincoln and Paul Drake in a C1.

I saw the same vette on " Leave it to Beaver ". The car was a dark color and I saw most of the rear portion of the car.
