6289421 - Can anyone give a description of this part number. It is a ground wire that is used on a 66 Corvette with A.C. to ground the passenger side horn when it is relocated for room near the condenser. It is shown on page 265 of my AIM, and is very hard to read on the copy I have. I would like to know the length and the color of this wire if that is possible. Must be a very obscure part as none of the searches thus far have turned up anything. Maybe you have one left over from a parts car or visible on an AC car with the nose off for repair. Thank you for any information provided!

John - check this thread in the forum - https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthre...hlight=6289421
If you just enter the p/n in the Tech Forum search field you usually get a long list of post that contain a discussion about that part. In this case, only 3 posts but the 2nd one has a pic of the ground wire you are investigating. Good luckEd- Top

Re: Description of GM part number 6289421
Thanks to both of you. The ground wire is exactly the part needed. It could have been fabricated but is pretty easily seen and having one with the correct ends crimped to the wire is great. After reading your posts last evening I spent a couple of hours reading Every page of the Zip catalog. and towards the back darned if there was not listed the steel re-enforcement for the horn relocation. Now that is an obscure part that I had no hope of ever finding and would have to fabricate. ( for those reading this in the future the part # is M3274) So all is well! Thanks for your help! I continue to be amazed at the collective knowledge that is provided on this forum .- Top
