69 - Rear Parking Brake Cable Install Question

Any suggestions for inserting the rear parking brake cable into the plastic/nylon guide on the TA? Bairs rebuilt the TAs and I don't want to break the pretty new guides. Nor do I want to distort the spring covering the cable. The "throat" of the guide is significantly smaller than the spring and resists a simple push insertion.
    Thanks,
    Mike

You have to pull the spring back. Only the bare cable goes through the guide. The spring seats on the outside of the guide.

Thanks Joe. After searching more for photos I see some have the spring between the boot and the guide, but others have the spring between the guide and the ball at the end of the cable. If the spring is to provide for the return of the cable, seems like the latter is correct. Is that what you mean by "outside of the guide?"

        Yes. The latter is correct.
