? correct finish for these underbody items on a 69

    Guys,

I'm finishing up the restoration on my 69 L 46 4 spd car and I noticed I may have neglected to properly finish a couple of underbody items. I finished all the nut plates as they were listed in the TIMJG but I have been unable to find either in JG or on the forum the correct finish of the hood hinge reinforcement plates (the long thin ones seen from inside the wheel well) or the #1 body mount reinforcement bracket. I can see the hinge reinforcement plates on a couple of photos of the wheel well area in the JG but not sure if they are bare metal or were painted originally. Are both these items semi-gloss black like most of the others? Thanks for your help.

The 2 plates or covers where the chassis spacers/shims reside in the rear wheel wells are attached with 4 small hex head screws. The cover itself is dipped in semi-gloss black paint and the 4 mounting hex screws are silver cad plated.

Thank Ron. I painted those plates already, my question is about another area. I have included a couple of pics for clarification. One is a pic from a vendor's catalog that shows the #1 body mount bracket, part number 2334 that I starred in the pic. The other pic is from the JG that shows the hinge support in the wheel well. Those two items are the ones I'm needing clarification on.

        Michael,

The reinforcement plates in the wheel wells are painted black and the hardware that attaches them are plated black phosphate.

No the part number and paint well. In fact I still have some original 1050104 left. As I’m sure you’re aware, it was also use elsewhere As well as throughout General Motors.

I know you know that part number. By the way, it's available in reproduction.
