    C2 Seat Protection Covers

I recently replaced the seat covers on my 1966 roadster. I'd to cover the new red seats with a slip on cover to protect against harsh sunlight. I've checked the usual catalog sites to no avail. I did find custom providers for C3 and newer but nothing for C2's. Has anyone found a good source for such a product? Thanks!

This post gave me a flash back to when I was a kid in the '50s. Folks would get their new car seats wrapped in a clear plastic covering to protect the seats. I asked my Dad what they were protecting them for. His reply..."the next owner". Don't worry about covering them...enjoy them, they're going to outlast you anyways.

I bought some of these for my '64 with white leather seats, to keep them clean, they fit pretty good:

I have an old set that I had on my 64 years ago with the Corvette logo. Not sure where they came from. Unfortunately, they are black. Pay shipping and you can have them tio2jim@aol.com will reach me

Try some large pillow cases. Washable as well!

That;s where I'm coming from too...maybe if I had white seats instead of red but on the '63 the red seats clean up easily and you can swap the driver's and passenger sides to even out wear (unlike some other cars)...

Fitted baby crib sheets work great.

Search "towel seat covers for cars" on Amazon or eBay. 35 years ago, I would sew an elastic strap across the top of a towel to use as a seat cover. Today, I buy a couple of these. Look for the ones with a non-slip backing to prevent the towel from shifting during use. Some even come with logos, but I like the plain look. Towel seat covers are inexpensive, comfortable, washable and they just slip on/off. Great for top down motoring to keep the seat cool and clean.

The photo is what I use for my C3, C4 and SL. They come in a variety of styles for different types of seats (e.g. covering the headrest, exposed headrest, no headrest).

I bought in 1965 from JC Whitney a set of white terry towel material covers. Think I still have them as I use for rags in corvette box. Would be simple to make some up as they had elastic ties for connecting under the seat. The good old times.

Thanks John - will do. When I called Al Knock I suggested they might want to offer C1 & C2 seat slips. Probably a pretty good market if they offered OEM colors and washable.

Leif, I never worried about covers until I got a 65 with white interior. The seats get dirty just walking by them.
