'63 Steering Knuckle to Spindle Lower Bolts - Need Torque Value

Can anyone tell me the torque value for the two lower bolts that hold the backing plate and steering knuckle to the spindle on a '63? I know the brake spring pivot is 65 lb/ft but I can't seem to be able to find what the lower bolts should be at.

For some strange reason GM never published a torque spec for these fasteners. Since the steering knuckles and steering arms were supplied to PRODUCTION as an assembly, the AIM's are of no help.

The 1963-67 bolts were 7/16-20 and of GM 300-M material grade. The "standard" torque for such fasteners is about 65 lb/ft so I'd use 65-70 lb/ft.

Thanks Joe. I will just torque them the same as the pivot.
