Could always call David Sokolowski in California. He advertises in the Driveline. He seems to have a bit of everything.Leif

Re: Looking for an original 107 Delco coil
This is a rumor I heard years ago about the origin of the 107 coil. I was not made for the Corvette. It's original use was off road equipment, school buses, etc the 1957 era. Rumor this may not be fact.
Probably the hardest part to find on the entire car.
Plan B Jerry. Use an original '091 coil. The early '091s are not that hard to find and affordable compared to the '63 etc ones. John- Top

Re: Looking for an original 107 Delco coil
I wish I could find the 10-12 ton asphalt roller we had years ago, it's got to be somewhere around me.
This roller had a Continental four cylinder gas engine that had a delco points ignition and I swear had a 107 delco coil. I had it in my hands several times but never realized how valuable or if it even had another application. The fellow I sold it to is no longer around to point me in the right direction. These things can't hide easily so you are correct, John. :-)- Top

Re: Looking for an original 107 Delco coil
I was able to get a reproduction 107 coil can with an original top from Goathill classics. The owner Paul does business through eBay as ID goathillclassics. He has a colorful reputation and used to be aarchivehunter on eBay, but the id was canceled. If you buy from him be careful, but at least you get some protection through ebay. Though I notice he doesn't take paypal, which gives additional buyer protection :/
Chicago Corvette (also colorful rep) seems to have a decent repro without shoulders (but wrong washers): http://www.chicagocorvette.net/item....=26999&rc=1109Last edited by Ian G.; July 5, 2020, 08:54 PM.- Top

Re: Looking for an original 107 Delco coil
i'd guess the chicago corvette 107 is a repo chineese coil , the studs of which are non-magnetic and are easily discernible on the judging field. there was an old-timer in so cal that sold copper sleeves/can one could slip over a non-107 deco coil. of course, if one choose an early deco non-107 without the plateaus on the bakelite towers, and utilized the 107 embossed copper sleeves, one could have what appeard to be an original 107 deco coil. i can't recall the old fella's name but i think i read where he passed on. mike- Top
