ACC carpet weight

Ordered and received a complete black carpet set for my 67 Roadster from ACC. I was quite surprised at how thin the backing on the carpet is including the overall weight of the carpet. The original was long gone when I bought the car so I have no frame of reference and I suspect the original was probably a heavier weight than what is made today. Would like to hear from someone who also used ACC and see if their experience is the same.

I have a 67 that still has the original carpet in it and you would be surprised at how "thin" the carpet is. I installed ACC carpet in another 67 and felt the ACC carpet was on the thinner side but somewhat similar to original carpet in thickness. For this reason, I lean toward the ACC carpet.
