    Question On C2 Clock Removal

Once the Clock Retainer Clips are taken off the clock and clock is ready to be removed can the Wire Connector
and the Bulb Holders be taken off from the back when the the clock is pulled out? Is there enough "slack" in these
wires to do this? Or does this have to be done when clock is still in the panel? Thanks in advance>Larry

Not a lot of slack on the bulb holders or the power supply wire. My experience is that it is best to remove / disconnect them when the clock is still in its normal position - then remove the two clips that hold the clock in place. Clock assembly will come right out with no trouble.

      Larry,

Just finished this procedure on my '65 with a/c. After removal of the retaining clips, I was able to pull the clock out far enough to disconnect the power wire and bulb holders.

Maybe it will work for me also; will see. Would be nice to do what Jim did then we can see everything in front of us rather then by
"feel". Replacing the bulbs should easier also. . Larry

You can remove the bulbs and power connection after pulling the clock out toward you.

That works but I've found it best to just pull the glovebox liner, its like 10 screws and you have full access to the wires and those pesky clips..

Agree with Frank. Next time, I would remove the glove box liner. I removed my '63 clock by taking off the radio side panels and it was fairly easy to get out. I also found that there was enough slack to get the wires off the back of the clock. Getting the clips back on the rear mounts with the radio panels removed was difficult, especially the drivers side clip. Good luck.
