The Corvette Central N11 off road exhaust is the best for this application. You can't do any better in terms of correctness, fit, and sound. An excellent product, look for a free shipping special from CC. The clamps provided won't be right. Get the correct guillotine clamps from Greg Thompson who advertises in the NCRS restorer magazine.

The N11 off road exhaust is identical in fit (under car) to the standard exhaust. The mufflers, which look the same as standard, have fewer baffles giving the car a nice exhaust note. If you want very quiet by all means get the standard exhaust. Just make sure you get the version with the mufflers welded to the mid pipes and not the set with the separate mufflers that clamp to the mid pipes.

                Ed:

Both the Corvette Central N11 and the Gardner are excellent. Not sure you can go wrong.........but if I had to make a choice I would probably go with the CC N11.

Consider getting aluminized pipes vs carbon steel if you have a choice. For judging the aluminized will take an Originality hit, but may make it up in Condition. They will last you 2 lifetimes.

Thanks Larry. I wish I knew if my current mufflers are N11 or not. I doubt it as the exhaust was put on the car in 1992. It’s still in good condition but isn’t correct as it has clamps on the mufflers vs welded. I’d be ok with that but I can’t seem to get me driver side muffler to hang quite right. I’m going to try to separate the muffler so I can get it at the correct angle but am not too helpful hence my thoughts on just replacing it.

I hope to get under it in a week or so.

                  Ed

PS I just received my Alma compressor for my 69 Camaro so that’s taken priority.

See if the mufflers have part numbers on them. That will tell you N-11 or standard

                        Ed------

If there is a clamped joint between the muffler extension and rear exhaust pipe, then the mufflers are not N-11 mufflers, at least they are not GM N-11 mufflers. The GM N-11 mufflers were supplied with welded on rear exhaust pipe as originally used in PRODUCTION. N-11 mufflers were never available from GM as the muffler alone. I don't think the aftermarket (i.e Walker, Arvin, Midas, etc.) ever offered N-11 mufflers.
