1954 exhaust tip

Hi guys ncrs judging guide & technical information manual has the extension that goes through the body being polished stainless steel. Noland Adams book The Complete Corvette restoration it has Chrome plated. For getting the car judged can you tell me what would be correct

Early 1954 exhaust tip

hi guys can someone tell me the exact outside dimension of the polished exhaust tip it comes through the rear of the body. I have an early 54 not too sure if it was 2 inches or two and a half inches. Bob w

I measured how far the tip sticks out past the bezel on the unrestored 1800 mile E54S001147 and found it to be 1 3/8". That might help you with the install.
