Dave Fiedler reproduction T.I. coils--anyone have experience?

I am considering purchasing a reproduction TI coil from Dave Fiedler of TI Specialties. He says he has them reproduced exclusively for him by a company that has all the original tooling etc from when they were produced for Delco. He says they are 100% exactly functional as the originals however they lack the embossed numbers and other visual details. I am looking strictly for full functionality. They are close to $400 so I want to be sure.
Has anyone bought one of these from Dave and can you comment on the coils performance?

Bought one, didn't work, got some $ back, had words, won't be back.

I was hoping more comments here, I just had Dave rebuild my distributor, TI and bought a coil from him. My engine rebuild is almost complete so have not installed it yet but it seems like Dave has a very good reputation although a bit pricey.

He redid my distributor (non-TI), completely. New shaft, bushings, cross gear, etc. very happy with it and also put in breakerless SE to replace points. My 70 LS5 runs better after doing it.

          Kevin,

Dave rebuilt my ’67 Transistor Ignition distributor and pulse amplifier more than 20 years ago. I also bought a TI coil from him at the time for reliable driving (not judging) purposes. Probably just shy of 5,000 miles since and I have had no ignition problems.

I’m not an electrical engineer, but my thoughts are the amp is the weak link in the system…but, he'd be the guy to ask about that.
          Anyhow, I did all three.
          good luck.
          thx,
          Mark

Dave rebuilt my 65 TI box and distributer 20 years ago and it is still sparking.
