    C2 A/C Hot Water Shut-off valve

I probably already realize the answer but I have to ask.

Are the C2 hot water shut-off valves repairable? Mine is letting a small amount of water into the heater core.

    Thanks

      Repairable - probably
      Reliability after repair - iffy
Ease of repair - NOT Easy

LI has a nice repop at a reasonable price

email me at tio2jim@aol.com and ill give you some search criteria for a NOS unit

LIC no longer offers the part. They are reducing their parts inventory.......

What a shame as it was a good part

Don, it appears that whoever was making them stopped. LIC and all the usual suspects list them as discontinued.

Gues I thought we were talking about the switch that sits on top of heater box inside cockpit. But seems meant the valve controlled by switch.

Here is a reproduction that looks nothing like the original. The one I removed did not have a date on it. I guess it is one of the aftermarket parts that looks very much like the original.

The one I took out. Rusty water drained for awhile.

Our original heater hot water valves were made by DOLE. I believe originals have that name somewhere on the valve if you look for it.

LICS sold their last (almost) exact reproduction hot water valve about 10 years ago.

I just spend an hour trying to clear the one I took out. It's now in the re-cycling barrel.
