Paint and Body Shop Recommendation Needed - NY State/North East

    Paint and Body Shop Recommendation Needed - NY State/North East

    Looking for recommendations for a good paint and body shop within a few hundred miles or so of Central New York. The shop needs to be familiar with 62's as the body is going to need a fair amount of work before painting and I would like to have the car judged. I am aware of Ron Bunnell's shop and the Bowtie Shop in Massachusetts and will see if I can get estimates from them but would like a couple others for comparison and maybe a little closer to Syracuse. I'm not interested in venturing into the area around NYC.

              I know of a resent "60 vette restoration that was outstanding done by Ron Bunnell. The car scored a high 99 at the last regional in Marlborough Ma. I have had several restoration done by him and would highly recommend him. I don't have personal knowledge of the others so can't comment. Good luck with your car. Gary

                      He has done several Corvettes including my 1963 Duntov car.

                          Rick, I just reread your post about distance. I would certainly recommend Joe Scafidi, owner of The Bowtie Shop and Ron Bunnell, owner of Ron's auto Restoration. I have had great success with both Joe and Ron on my 63's. Well worth the travel for excellent restoration services.
