    Grommet

I have a 66 with air. One the firewall, about 5 o'clock below the wiper motor, there is about a 2" hole in the firewall. Coming out of this hole is the hose for the WW washer and wires for the WW motor, hose for the AC controls, wire that goes to the ballast resistor, oil pressure line and wires for the starter and AC/fan motor. These are all in the rubber grommet that goes into the firewall. Here is the question. Also there are 2, looks like #10 gauge wires, that come out of the same hole. There is NO room for them to be in the grommet. Do they come out in another area on the firewall?
    Thanks
    Mel

The rubber grommet on my 1965 air condition coupe has 4 holes. The oil pressure line is in one. The wires are in another hole. The other two holes have the rubber hoses for the vacuum supply to the vacuum switch mounted on top of the inside heater box and the vacuum return hose that goes back thru the firewall to the hot water valve that mounts on the firewall. Sometime the rubber grommets have extra holes that need to be punched out.
