    '72 Dome Light Question.

I'm in the middle of completing a carpet replacement in my '72. The rear dome light (the same for 63-72 except was missing so I bought a new Trim Parts unit. When I looked at it I saw that it seems that there are special connectors that are part of the harness that plug into the light. All I have are two wires, the Orange and white. Can the connectors be purchased separately? I can't find them on their own on any of the usual vendors site. Thanks!

    Hi Tom,

It sounds like your carpet project is taking as long as mine. :-)

On my '70, it looks like the orange and white wires go straight into the light fixture- no connectors seen. Also, no connectors shown in the wiring diagram.

I haven't looked at my '72's courtesy light and what may be there for connectors, but I'd suggest contacting Lectric Limited to ask them. If connectors are used, they'd have them.

Tom I See Corvette Central Part # 482063 Is A Dome Light Socket @ $10.25. I Believe This Is What You Need For Those Two Wires To Connect To It Should Be Black Plastic Peter

That's the actual bulb socket that connects to the end of the wires. But I don't believe there's a separate inline connector.
