C2 Rear Bonding Strip

I've been doing some research on C2 rear bonding strips. This is not a color question ( white, gray or black )

In 1963 the left rear bonding strip was part number 3797153.
In 1964 - 1967 the bonding strip was part number 3841537

GM did not change part numbers unless there was a physical difference in the part.

Anyone know what changed between the two part numbers?

I could be wrong but I bet the difference is in the lower area where the rear valance attaches to the bonding strip. As you are aware the 63 valance has a small panel bonded to the valance where the attachment bolt goes.

Yes, just found that out. A different configuration to fit the 63 rear valance
