I thought about it, but making the holes is a challenge. Punches are available but $$$$.

Does anyone know of a source for a correct foam (non-rubber) idler arm seal for a 71? Doc Rebuild has them, but he is closed indefinitely due to COVID. The other usual sources seem to all sell a rubber seal, which just isn’t correct.

I’d appreciate any suggestions you many have.
I did think of making one, but buying the tools to cut the outer and inner surfaces cost far more than the part.

        Thanks.

If it's a one-time need, you could make the hole punches from short sections of hardware store pipe of the appropriate diameters. Sharpen the end of the pipe to an edge and use it like a punch.
