Nolands book on page 435 does not list ECL: EB as a radio option. I think EB is the ECL for L36(390hsp) with C60 (AC). Did the book just fail to mention the EB ECL? 1966 shows EB as L36 with C60, pg 369. I am trying to decode 02U69EB. Thanks.

Re: Radio ECL's 1967
GREAT find, Peter! Looking back a couple model years in Noland's book, the U69 ECL codes were also broken out by Coupe & Convertible... could this have accidentally been omitted in his 67 results? What body styles do you folkz have?- Top

Re: Radio ECL's 1967
Interesting observation, Peter.
You will also note that the window sticker on pg 44 is for an M35 Powerglide/C60 AC car. Dunno if that has anything to do with the multitude of parts that go with U69 depending on the options added. None of Noland's ECLs on the two pages mentioned have M35 as an option (with C60 or not).
John, you may want to look at the AIM for UPC 69; Sheets A5, A9 and A10. They all have L36 listed as an option (RPO) with U69. The difference could be as simple as a capacitor assembly part number; or an ignition shield clip - who knows?

Re: Radio ECL's 1967
These codes are very mysterious. My '66 L36 with A/C shows 02U69FD, and my '67 L79 with A/C shows 02U69AC.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: Radio ECL's 1967
All great information and thank you.
Jeff, EF should be 400 hsp L68 with C60 according to what I see on page 436.
All, strange that EB is not listed on page 436 for 1967 as it is in 1966 on page 369. Is it logical that EB should exist in 1967 for L36 with C60 in Noldand's book on page 436? Also as Jack mentioned, page 44 shows a 1967 window sticker having L36 with C60 and radio code EB. Where else can we see a full accurate list of these codes or can we take it to the bank that the EB exists in 1967 for U69 L36 & C60. Another typo in Nolands book.- Top

Thanks, yes it does. I'll have to drag that book out again, I had forgotten about it since many things have been questioned in it over the years.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: Radio ECL's 1967
I'm no expert at identifying a 'real' window sticker... but upon further review, the 1967 WS that Noland published on Page 44 appears to be a REPRODUCTION (so we can't be certain of the ECL codes).
I had a few 1967 window/tank sticker images that I've saved in the past... most of these were found online. Some were clear reproductions, but a few were 'decent' looking. I've mainly concentrated on the 390 & 400 HP window stickers... some had A/C, some C60 & N14, and a few without those options (it seems Noland's ECL codes revolved around these options).
Looking at six images, we have the following:
390 with N14 = FA (2-vehicles)
390 with C60 & N14 = FB (1-vehicle)
400 withOUT C60 = EE (2-vehicles)
400 with C60 = EF (1-vehicle)
The EE radio codes are NOT listed in Noland's book... the others are listed.
Itz a GREAT reference book, but there are several known mistakes/omissions.- Top
