Rebuild small 022 master for my '62 or buy LARGE 022 repro?

    Hi all,
I have a small "022" master in my car and it needs to be sleeved and rebuilt, it should be the LARGE "022" for a '62.
I Topflighted my car at a chapter and regional a few years back, I drive it to shows and keep it nice, but I will probably never have the car judged again. I would however like the master to look like the original, the configuration is different on the jobber masters.

I am in Montreal Canada and shipping my small 022 to and from the US at this time for a sleeve/rebuild would be expensive and time consuming with the exchange and shipping costs etc., summer is short and I want to drive the car.
I could also ship my old small 022 to John Stuart brakes in Stony Creek ON, they will sleeve and rebuild for $300CDN, get the car back on the road in a couple of weeks.

Or, I can buy a new GM reproduction large 022 from Corvette Central, shipped to my door for $325 CDN taxes and shipping included, what do you guys think?

    Many thanks,
    Paul

Send it to White Post Restorations in Virginia to be "restored". They specialize in restoring brake components, among other things. They will re-sleeve it with a brass sleeve that will last longer than you and it will look as good as new, and function like it was built yesterday. You will not be disappointed in the quality of the workmanship - prices isn't that bad either. https://whitepost.com/#hometop

Option C buy an already SS sleeved correct M/C for your car and sell your old one. There are some on the big auction site One that is late 61 -62.

I am a big fan Of SS sleeved, you will never have to touch it again.

Contact Lonestar Caliper at 1 903 829-8400 and they will take your small 022 in trade and send you a large 022 SS MC.

          Hi all,
My apologies for my delay in responding, other non Corvette issues, I appreciate your answers.
Unfortunately with the present Canadian dollar exchange rate, travel restrictions and the cost of shipping in and out of Canada at this time (no US pickup) my options are limited if I want to get the car back on the road quickly without spending $500+ Canadian on a master, just not worth it for a car that will probably never be judged again.
That's why I was asking about the large 022 reproduction that CC sells for $169 US , they have an agreement for shipping into Canada, no brokerage fees, comes out to about $325 CDN including taxes. Still way more that if I could ship and pickup in the US, but that's just not an option at this time.

          Thanks,
          Paul

Are there no Canadien machine shops that could sleeve yours? Check around with some classic car places up there.

Your local auto parts store could probably get you a rebuild kit, Raybestos makes one (the part # is MK3). Sells for less than $20 US here.
