C1 Manual transmission clutch cover finish

Hi all, can someone describe the finish on the inspection cover on the bell housing where the starter bolts on is. I believe it would be painted the same as the engine color. Then there is the lower bottom clutch underpan cover. Not sure if but was on during the paint process or was painted Black and installed after painting of the engine.
