    1969 Valve Covers

Can anyone tell me if these valve covers are correct for 1969 big block?

I bought a set of valve covers like that from a dealers parts dept once. I think they were listed for a 67 L-89, but I never understood the purpose for the strange bracket. California K-19?

that weird bracket spot welded to the pass side valve cover does indeed belong on a smog BBC engine. since the cover is chrome, it could have come off a 67 435ci with alum heads(L-89 as pat mentioned). mike

Yes, the cover with the bracket is a GM #3902390 and was used for 1967 L-89 with K-19. However, it was also used for 1967 Impala SS with L-72 and K-19, 1967 Chevelle and Camaro with L-34 and K-19 and 1967 Chevelle and Camaro with L-34 and K-19.

... which may be worth a lot to the few who need them.
