    Driver side courtesy wiring/bulb. 65 with A/C

I have had short in this fixture for years.
My wiring diagram shows a connector on the black/white wire. I cannot tell where the connector should plug in, I assume to a wire connecting to the other side. Should be simple but access certainly is not. It appeared to fall from the area of the dash wiring harness.

IMG_4047.jpg This is the connector as described in the previous post. Seems a very simple plug in, but where?

I think that is the courtesy light switch wire. The barrel end plugs into the switch (NOT fun to connect - access to it is limited). Good luck, Don H.

Just finished reconnecting those in two '65 Corvettes, one with a/c and one without.

              John,

I do not have pictures. What specifically are you lookin for?

When I reconnected the courtesy light switch wiring on the driver's side, I removed the switch from the jamb, connected the wire to the switch and then fished the switch back into the jamb. If it is a car with a/c, you will need to remove both the driver and passenger side a/c duct work to get the wiring reconnected.

I was hoping you took pictures of the backside of the courtesy light switch that the bullet terminal goes in to.

                  John,

Here is a picture of the back side of the switch.

So, just loosen up the nut and ease it out. I want to clean up the contact surfaces. The PS was flickering.

                    Thanks!

                      John,

When I go to put the switch back in, I fish a piece of mechanics wire through the door jamb switch hole and out the opening in the interior kick panel area. I then wrap and lightly tape the wire around the head of the head of the wire connector and pull the wire back out through the door jamb switch hole, remove the mechanics wire and connect the wire connector to the switch and reinstall the switch. It's a tight fit, but the "L" shaped switch will fil through the door jamb switch hole.
