C3 1979 Cable Assembly Actuator

So I am helping a friend work on his 79 and the cable to open the hood that goes long the front of the hood between the latchs broke. The assembly manual says it is a cable assembly actuator part # 473284. I got on 3 different Corvette website and could not find anything on it.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

GM #473284 was the hood latch cross-cable applicable to 1978-82 Corvettes. However, it was discontinued a few years ago. Reproductions are pretty easily available.

I could remember it, but not give it a proper name.

I had also owned a 79, but traded it in on an 82. I traded the 82 to also. However, those were the last Vettes I have traded in. I got smarter.
