I regret to share with those of us that knew Mr. Gordon Henry of his passing. Sadly, Gordon died of a massive heart attack on April 18th. A kind and gentle man, Gordon also possessed a strong desire to help in any way he could, no matter the cost.
Gordon was an occasional poster here, but was a very active member of the local Corvette scene. He was a proud member of NCRS, including his long time association with the Michigan Chapter. Gordon helped me with many, many items and issues as I restored my C3. Gordon was a two-time Corvette owner. Most notably, he was proud of his great 1971 LT1 convertible, which he bought right off the showroom floor in 1971. The car survives him. This car was awarded Top Flight twice, including right next to mine at the 2011 National event in Novi Michigan. He also earned a Bloomington Gold award. Gordon wasn't shy with this car. Last summer, he packed his bags and took his wife and drove the LT1 to Mackinaw City for a long weekend. For those that don't know, that's a 5 hour highway drive. I hear he averaged well over the posted speed limit. Yup. His wife told me that.
I'm gonna miss Gordon. Please keep Gordon and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
