Re: 69 interior - paint or dye?
Hello Rich
I am having a problem with my black dash 71.
First of all I had two dash...one for sampling.
The nice one was maroon color, I went to Lordco and tried to match the paint in a spray bottle. When I sprayed the dash it was a flatish black. It really had no sheen to it.
The second dash for practice
It was first a factory blue then someone painted it black and had a nice sheen. Like your picture.
To test the landau paint on the practice dash
I scotch bright a little section as the paint guy told me
I prepped it with the SEM cleaner, Then sprayed SEM black primer. Then the Landau paint. It came out flatish like the PPG special, It did not come out like the sheen on your vinyl
But I did use the Landau on the plastic kick panels and the halo part near the T tops and had the perfect Sheen just like the picture you provided
Any Suggestions on the vinyl Dash
Thanks, grant
