1970 Carpet Fitment Question

How should the seam between the floor and rear bulkhead carpet sections look around the rear of the brake console?

It looks like the rear bulkhead carpet goes on top since it has an edge binding. Correct?

Should the binding be along the bottom edge of the floor? Or a bit above it?

The photo below is how the new Al Knoch carpet fits before cutting. Guidance is appreciated.

The bulkhead piece with binding goes on top as your photo shows. (different from 1969) I have seen it come all the way to the floor or end an inch or more before that. I don't think there is any real standard as long as the fiberglass is covered. P. 17 of the newest JG describes this and has photos of the corner fit.
