AFB Accelerator Pump

I do believe my accelerator pump is beginning to fail in my 1963 AFB with 300 hp. So, another job for another stay home guy.

There are many kits out there, some good and some no so good. The only parts I'll use are those needed to replace the pump. What's the recommendation for a high quality kit with an excellent pump?

Harry Daytona Carb, there in Fla. are the best kits I have found.

Harry,

I just went thru this with my '63 AFB on a 300HP. I was not getting any squirt of gas from the accelerator pump squirter when pumping the gas pedal. The car would stumble from idle. Found that the little needle check valve under the accelerator pump squirter was stuck. Simply removed the needle check valve and cleaned all and reassembled. Squirts fine now! Sorry for the inaccurate terminology!
