1970 Wiring J Clip Finish

I purchased a J Clip GM 3874533 from one of the well known vendors. This is the clip next to the driver's side horn on a 1970 which has a ground wire under it. The website picture had a natural or zinc finish on the portion the screw goes through. The clip I received has a black oxide or phosphate finish on the portion the screw goes through. My car did not have the clip on it when I got it, what finish is correct?

Yes, that is the clip. Can you tell what the original finish was for the portion of the clip with the screw through it?

Ill try to get this later. Going to have to take it off and hope the back is not as rusted as the front. BTW who's supplied you with the part?

I bought a clip from Paragon, but after seeing your picture, it is too small.

I am ordering a couple of different clips from Corvette Central that I think will be closer.

I wouldn't bother with taking yours off. I will see what I get from Corvette Central.

Saw one on Zip, but it looks too small to me as well.

BTW. that J clip is from a very original front end I have hanging from my garage ceiling. So that should be the correct size. Great reference for check many things. Unfortunately most of the metal parts are rusted.
