1962 Seat belts were they an Option?

Were seat belts Standard Equipment on all '62 Corvettes or was it offered as option FOA-148 Seat Belt Equipment? If equipped on all 62 Corvettes is it listed as such on the original Dealer invoice and when did it become Standard Equipment?

Seat belts were standard equipment in Corvettes beginning in 1958. Doubt if you would see them itemized on an invoice in 1962.

Dave has been around long enough in this hobby that when he asks a basic question like that, it is likely that he had run into some original GM literature that conflicts with other GM documentation. He is far beyond GM Heritage center info. FWIW.

So, Dave, you have my curiosity stimulated. What are you up to?😀

AAH! Mike you are a wise man indeed! I have not been able to get anything by you YET! Lock down in Mich. has allowed plenty of research time, the "62 and '56-57 being my favorite. It might be time to correct a lot of misinformation. The question is where do I start?
