Yes, in the SF bay area the price is still around $3.00 per gallon. I've even seen some places that are at $3.49. .
Joe, I'm truly surprised it's not cheaper over there. We always seem pay more because of the cost of getting fuel up into the Sierra. Regular is 40 cents/gallon cheaper 2000' lower in elevation.

...this and how many refineries, oil companies and such that may not make it through this. We should have low price gas for awhile while there's inventory, but if & when the country starts moving again and there isn't that inventory there once was to bring the "cheap gas", we may see even higher avg prices than before all this COVID-19 started. Even at that, it will still be probably 6-9months of low priced gasoline.

....what's ironic is that even though we are seeing record cheap gas, with these "Stay At Home" orders, how many people are really enjoying this benefit? It's not like we're able to use this going to Chapter Meets, Regionals, Corvette shows, travel vacations, etc.

...I guess one hobby that you use a fair amount of fuel and you can keep your social distancing is boating & fishing!!!

2.59 here in AZ. I still would like to have someone explain what besides the state sales tax why such a defferance. Is zone pricing another name for price fixing? Asking for a friend.

It was $0.99 per gallon here at the Indian owned stations, they don't charge state tax.

zone pricing- increase profits in areas of high traffic flow or communities with higher incomes. Gas stations near highway exits, main commercial roads, small gas stations with limited competition. Have seen price difference up to .30-.40 per gallon from one location to the other, same tax applied. Same thing happens with groceries sold by the same food chain.

And with the 10 mbd production cut that OPEC announced beginning next month, it is just a matter of time before we see prices rising. And Russia and OPEC finally got over their pi**ing contest

Still about 2 bucks here on Long Island NY. I am trying to enjoy it though. Wife and I saw this stay at home thing as an opportunity of sorts. If you ever drove in Manhattan you'd understand what a mess it typically is. We decided to jump in the GS, head west , drive over the Brooklyn bridge cruised around Manhattan almost by ourselves and exited through the northern most tip into Riverdale in the Bronx then back home. I doubt I'll ever have an opportunity to take that drive under those conditions in my lifetime.

Oh, for the entire trip my feet never touched any ground except for my driveway. I guess I kid of didn't leave home.

When I said in my original posting that I paid 30 cents a gallon, it was at a gas station on Northern Blvd. just east of the Queens/Nassua County line.
