GOOD friend and SO. CAL NCRS member JOHN SEELEY owns a 67 BLACK / TEAL BLUE coupe, base 300hp, 3 speed, NO RADIO. Car is a NCRS TOP FLIGHT car in 2014. It received a DUNTOV Award way back in the 1980's under a previous owner.

Well he didn't have many opps. to worry about. Years ago a guy tried to sell me a 68 3-speed con. with NO options not even a radio. Told him it was rare as hell but nobody wants it. I believe it was a dealer order to advertise lowest Corvette price in Fort Wayne. Oddest optioned one I owned was a 69 with engine block heater. Plug came out the front grill. Didn't know there was such a thing then.

The last I saw a no radio car and AC was a red on red 67 400hp car at a Chapter judging meet in Gettysburg Pa

Are you saying '65 car #11774 is equiped with FI and a 3 speed manual trans and it appears to have come from the factory that way?

No- but it is kinda odd/rare,in that it came with FI, leather,and drum brakes-verified with ORIGINAL window sticker

A '65 Fi with drum brakes isn't common but it isn't really rare or unheard of either. I've seen a number of them. Some drag racers ordered them so they could back the brake shoes off in an effort to gain an edge by reducing the drag of the shoes when normally adjusted for street use. In those days it was the first guy/girl to cross the finish line.

To be clear you are not saying Car #11774 has FI and a 3 speed transmission.

This is 68 300Hp 3speed base car.

Had a radio from the git go. The harness looks legit, no evidence of radio delete. The antenna and its coax are factory.

Reported to be an Avon Exec car from NYC area...not ordered but a company car? No paperwork but did attempt to research a while back with little success.

We did the clutch and front suspension 2 years ago and talked about installing a 4 speed and shelving the 3. But the 3 went back in.

Drive train matches. You can see it is a day 2 car with some minor mods BB hood etc. The engine is tweaked and puts out 350-360hp

Low production doesn't mean more valuable but it is unique and good bench racing fodder... and is fun to drive.

Not many C3, 3 speed console shifter plates out there.

my dad and I looked at one as a project about five years ago. a green on saddle convertible. it did have a warranty replacement block with the POP and paper work to back it up. it was a L84 drum brake, and a radio, don't think it had any other options price was fair at 25K. not much body work needed. didn't get the vin number though
