There are 4 strut rod end caps ( 2 for the right side and 2 for the left side) that are used up in the bracket area....are there 4 end caps also used at the other end of the stud rod ( 2 on each side).....the assembly manual says no; i just want to make sure. Also the retainer cap that is used on the shock....is the concave side facing in toward the shock? It seems like it would be but i've seen cars that have the concave part of the retainer facing out toward the lock washer and nut.

Dave------
The caps on the strut rods are used only on the center bracket end. No caps are used on the shock mount end.
The rear lower shock retainers should have the lip face OUTWARDS with respect to the shocks or, said another way, towards the center of the car (i.e. the "counter intuitive" way).In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
