    66 L72 cylinder case question

Hi all- Just received my 66 TIMJG, noticed picture M 2-3,pg. 99.
Looks completely different than mine-I have fairly early car (3795)-maybe a e/p or l/p thing?
or maybe a mirror image?-my car is unrestored, and very original-Here is a pic of the block above the oil filter.IMG_20200227_215131907.jpg

Looks like the negative for the photo on page 99 is in front to back or vice versa.

Dan- I believe you are correct... the photo in the JG appears backwards.
The upper circle for the AC logo should be on the left side... not the right side.

Strange-I do know that this is an important area of the 3869942 case, to indicate 2 bolt or 4 bolt main bearing caps. I would like to hear from other members too. I have included information from Alan Colvin's "Corvette by the numbers" Corvette drivetrain parts reference publication.IMG_20200321_202833779.jpgIMG_20200227_215131907.jpgIMG_20200320_171923540.jpg

E J - Not sure if you were following my thoughts... take a look at the image below.
The AC logo is in the WRONG location, backwards in the JG.
So the image in the JG appears to be accidentally REVERSED.

Good catch EJ. And Dan and Jack for clarifying the publisher error. The photo went to the publisher correct, but was reversed when the book went to print. I have made Bill C aware, and he said he appreciates the catch.

Hi Jack- Thanks for your input- I was concerned about the location of the provisions for the oil galley (oil pressure gauge),and possible oil cooler; that was depicted in the TIMJG, as this is a critical area of the 3869942 to determine whether it is in fact a 2-bolt or 4-bolt main bearing block.
              Thanks again-E J
