base 300hp or the 427/390 or 427/400. for 75k you should be able to find a base 300. not so much on the 427 car

I hadn't even thought about a BB, I am talking a TOP FLIGHT car, not a put together worn out car. I think a SB
really nice air auto that can be driven and enjoyed is a better deal TO DRIVE That opens another question, which is worth more
coupe or convertible 67 ? Thanks for the input BTW I agree, right now cash talks it is not what it is "worth"
it is what it will bring with real hard cash I have bought a couple cars recently (non Corvette) and got some really nice cars relatively cheap
        VS what they are "worth"

I think today you can buy a great car for 75K all day long. Automatics should be even cheaper. I believe convertibles are worth more than a coupe ( i have both) as long as you can put up with the rattles with the top up. I would not bother with auctions. Every car should be able to sell itself without the frensy of a bidding atmosphere. Corvettes are not what they were there are just to many of them out there. Every wreck was dragged out from the pile in the 90's and restored. Just my opinion.

With the current drop in stocks pricing their is soon to be some deals.
After all, Old Corvettes are toys.
Their is a long history of the collector automobile pricing varying with the stock market.
The stock market woes combined with the peaking of collector car pricing (In Sept of 2015) upward pricing seems to be over for now.
My advice is have cash on hand and wait a few months.
My prediction is you will be able to purchase the Top Flight 67 air automatic, you desire, for less than 75K.
              Possibly significantly less.

I personally know of a 67 Silver Coupe with Teal leather, auto, PS, PB, AC TF car with an untouched AC system that works that for sale at that number. Base motor, with POP. Gorgeous car.

Just when it seems we dug them all out and restored them all in the 90's one shows up. Some people say there are more 435 hp '67's today than the factory ever built.

Actually I think we are RE-restoring many cars that got "restored" in the 90's the reality of the cost of restoring a car properly today is-
IT IS DARN EXPENSIVE I personally have a 70 350hp convertible and a 67 350hp convertible that I have spent FAR more restoring than
what the current market value $ is, especially the 70 to do it right- COSTS $$$ The good news is the new color JG is 99% right on, the bad news is now you can sure tell what is NOT RIGHT. And that spells $$ to do it right worth it to me

If you are talking about the 59 FI Corvette. It sat untouched for 35 years. The car was restored over the top.but with NCRS in mind Jams & correct Frame engine bay ETC. Had a NOS steering wheel still in the box. 5 NOS tires. It impressed the hell out of me & I have had hundreds & looked ay thousands. Mecum estimate was i00 hundred fifteen to one twenty five & told a guy he thought it would bring a hundred & a half.
