I've seen gasket Pn's 14079400, 14002201 and 3931597 for the oil pan, Are they all correct or are some correct?

All are functionally correct for all 1957-74 small blocks. The GM #3931597 was the 1968 released gasket set which superceded earlier part numbers. The 14002201 replaced it in July, 1980. The 14002201 was discontinued in June, 1984 and replaced by the GM #14079400. The latter is now discontinued and, as far as I can tell, there is no new part number.

None of the above-referenced gasket sets were manufactured by GM. They were manufactured by Detroit Gasket, Victor, McCord, and Fel-Pro.

As I recall, the GM #3931597 used cork side gaskets without a steel core. I believe the cork side gaskets in the 14002201 and 14079400 had a steel core.
