Meets Cancelled due to Coronavirus

Given the current status of Covid-19 precautions, does anyone know whether the various NCRS meets listed for March and April 2020 are still on, postponed, or canceled outright?
Will this decision be left to the individual chapters, or perhaps made by the national board?
Our IN chapter meet is slated for May 1-2; as far as I'm aware, we're still a "Go" with that one.

Mike is right about the Houston and Austin fight judging meets. Out of an abundance of caution and because fight judging does not allow a 6 foot social distancing, we have postponed those meets. Our chapter board made the decision last night.

The NCRS judging meet for the Southeast at Pigeon Forge, TN. has been canceled because the venue has canceled the meet. That would be Corvette Expo held in the Pigeon Forge Convention Center March 18-21.

The New England Judging School for April 4th has been cancelled. We'll decide on the May 1st and 2nd Judging School/Meet in a few weeks.

The NCRS judging meet for the Southeast at Pigeon Forge, TN. has been canceled because the venue has canceled the meet. That would be Corvette Expo held in the Pigeon Forge Convention Center March 18-21.

We have also cancelled the weekly NM Chapter lunches, as the state has ordered all restaurants to allow no more than 6 people per table and tables at least 6 feet apart for the next 2 months.

I'm currently registered for the Heart of Ohio Chapter Meet, Adirondick Regional and National so far, but with current travel restrictions I may not attend. How do members get refunds? Chapters need direction from the leadership.

Pat, I believe all Chapter Boards are dealing with this in a responsible way as April events are being cancelled. On the refunds, if the chapter cancels the event, then the refund should be initiated by the chapter treasurer. If you wish to cancel out of an event, contact the Judging Chairman and request the refund. This is business as usual (BAU).

Brian and all of the others who have responded to Brian's original post, I am writing on behalf of the NCRS Board to offer the following thoughts on this rapidly evolving crisis. Yesterday, with my Northern California Chapter Judging Co-Chair hat on, I consulted with the NCC Board and we decided to cancel our spring judging meet scheduled for mid-April. That was before today's federal guidance that we should all avoid gatherings of ten (10) or more people and cancel discretionary travel. You can see from the many responses to this post that many of our Chapters are cancelling planned tech sessions and judging events. I personally believe this is absolutely the right course of action. Most of us are in the most vulnerable age group for this virus and we need to be sensible. That said, I am reluctant to tell our Chapters they must cancel any planned events. Those of you at your local level need to make those decisions keeping in mind the health and welfare of your expected attendees.

As to the upcoming Regional events, there are three currently on the schedule between now and the National Convention in French Lick. I and others on the Board having been communicating with the organizers of the Adirondack and Rocky Mountain Regionals, and I expect we'll hear from the North Central folks soon. The NCRS Board will be meeting via conference call this Wednesday to discuss and decide on a course of action with regard to these three Regionals and the Convention. I will post an update following that meeting.
