    1967 Corvette Fan Motor

This is the fan motor that was removed from a 1967 A/C; heater box. Even though it is not dated, it appears to be the correct one.
Were all the fan motors dated or was it a hit miss thing? Also where to buy the correct brushes and bearings for it?

I'm not sure if they can be rebuilt. You might look on the Corvette forum for a good used unit.

        Gary,
Not much help, but I did mine in my shop. I found brushes, and or brush material at a mom & pop gen - alt shop. I believe the bearings were the floating self centering type where the shaft is in a brass ball held by the case. I was able to use my old bearings as they were just gummed up and out of lube. Also found brushes for the window and wiper motor there.
I remember having to file fit some brushes. Actually found brushes in a hardware store that worked with a bit of modification. Also found bearing material in supply books that worked for regular bearing applications. Use of my lathe also made things fit.

Gary Dom's info is good. Find a shop that repairs/rebuilds fractional hp electric motors and they should be able to help you with brushes. The bearings are probably reusable
