Top Flight Award Winner Confirmation

Looking at a 1990 ZR1 which the dealer advertises as a "NCRS Top Flight Award (Chapter) winner. Is there any way to find out the date awarded and to confirm his claim? I have the VIN #.

Beware there are a lot of counterfeit Award Certificates out there.

Award certificates have a unique number assigned.

BTW, there's a big different between a Chapter Top Flight and a Regional Top Flight, particularly on a ZR-1 since the knowledge level at a Chapter meet is more than likely very slim.

You might contact via email the National Team Leader for those cars; Tom Barr. His contact information is in the latest copy of the NCRS Restorer magazine. Tom is likely at the Florida Regional right now so an email to hime with the VIN of the vehicle might be helpful. Additionally, if you can acquire the name of the prior owner from the dealer selling the car, you might be able to contact that ovner via this NCRS website to acquire the information that you are looking for. AGREE. Be careful . The dealer wants to sell you the car. WATCH ''BRING A TRAILER'' website. Many nice private party ZR-1's have been for sale in the last 3 months. Some have sold for under $20000. They are great cars.
