Re: carb restoration who does it right?
If you just want to rebuild it do it yourself. It is very easy especially with YouTube. I just rebuilt both of my 67 cars carbs. Will do my 69 L71 next. It is fun to do also.- Top

Re: carb restoration who does it right?
car is a 64 coupe with 37445 miles. parked over 30 years in the back yard under a tarp. i call it my acorn project. it took a day to clean out all the acorns and mice nests. very surprisingly the frame is sold as a rock. no rot at all. car is totally seized up. going to go thru the whole thing.- Top

Re: carb restoration who does it right?
Eric at http://www.vintagemusclecarparts.com/ since it's a Holley.
As I've noted before, I was not pleased with a couple of things Phil did on two carbs, so don't anticipate using him again.Last edited by Patrick H.; February 20, 2020, 06:04 PM.Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS

Re: carb restoration who does it right?
Michael,
See this thread for the restoration of a 67 holley 3810
https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthre...ghlight=holley
You can really do it yourself. Some restorers just put too much gold in the finish. The correct finish is just to bring the zinc parts to a bare finish, and not to zinc plate them, before the dip in dichromate.
Take a review of this board on carb plating. There are 12 other posts on my carb project.
Have fun,Jerry Fuccillo
