'72 LS-5 Idler pulley

The idler pulley on my LS5 w/ a/c is making some noise. Is the bearing assembly available or am I looking at buying the entire pulley assembly?

Tom,

Chevrolet serviced the bearing as an individual component. Part #908050 or #908076. Check the Corvette vendors to see if they have it available. Small block or big block with an idler pulley used the same bearing.

The idler bearing assembly was last available under the GM #908076 part number but it's been discontinued now for several years. Replacements are available in the aftermarket, though. I think the best ones are manufactured by Koyo. Japanese-manufactured bearings are the best on the planet.
