locking lug nuts

'85 coevette. cannot get the locking lug nuts off the two rear wheels. had mcgard make new lug tool but still cannot get them off. looking for ideas. may try heating the nut with torch or welding something on that i can turn with. am wondering if that will work or any other ideas.

Have you tried an impact wrench? Many tire stores use these to install and then 3 months later they are very difficult to remove. I usually go behind loosing and then tightening using a standard lug wrench. A little anti-seize on the bolts would be a good idea when re-installing...... Take the car to a tire store and ask that they loosen the nuts......

You may find you will have to use a cold chisel to split them.
