Doesn't it use bushing caps, #348390, at the inner end to make up the difference?

      Larry and Francais-------

Yes, the bushing caps basically take up the space between the camber bolts and the bushing's inner sleeve ID. However, the caps used for 1963-74 were GM #3791519. The GM #348390 were used for 1975-82 and became SERVICE for 1963-74 when the 3791519 was discontinued in January, 1975.

Regardless, though, there is no rotation about the shock mount shaft or camber bolt. In both cases, the nuts clamp the assembly together and the bushing inner sleeve is clamped tightly between opposing surfaces and further prevented from rotation by the "sawtooth" ends which "embed" themselves into the adjoining surfaces. Any rotation at either end occurs by torsional flexation of the rubber bushing, not movement of any of the steel attaching parts.

I googled them under #3791519 and found them in Dr. Rebuild's catalog. Looking them up as #348390 gets you several of the usual Corvette vendors.

The 3791519 and 348390 are equally functional. The only difference between them is a slight difference in OD, with the 348390 being slightly larger. The 348390 were first used in PRODUCTION for the 1975 models which had larger strut rod ends and bushings. However, only the 3791519 are considered "correct" for 1963-74 and I understand that some judges look for this (even as difficult as it is to discern all things considered).
