Correct replacement spark plug wries for '88 Anniversary

The closest to original spark plug wires that I can find for my T.F. 1988 Anniversary are ACDelco 618W (my VIN is a #8 as that apparently matters). The originals have "PACKARD DELCO" and apparently the plug number in front of that - haven't taken them off yet. The 618W has "AC-DELCO-PACKARD DELCORE ELECTRONIC SUPPRESSION - 8MM ????" where I can't discern what the ???? is.

Is the the best I can do? I assume the next time it's judged if it's 618W it won't lose too many points as it's still Delco.

    Edit - wries s/b wires...

GM #19172236, aka ACDelco 618W, is the currently available spark plug wire set for your application. The wire set originally cataloged was GM #12073939. If you could find an NOS wire set of that part number it would likely be closer to the original wires installed on your car. Otherwise, the 19172236 are probably as close as you are going to find.

By the way, in PRODUCTION wire sets are not used. Instead, each wire has an individual part number and a specific part numbered wire is used for the specific location. Individual wires are also available in SERVICE from GM and may or may not be identical to those used in PRODUCTION. The original wires for your application were as follows:

    #1------GM #12002175

    #2------GM #12002175

    #3------GM #12002174

    #4------GM #12002172

    #5------GM #12002170

    #6------GM #12002143

    #7------GM #12002170

    #8------GM #12002170

It is POSSIBLE that very early 1988 used the following wires:

    #1------GM #12002176

    #2------GM #12002175

    #3------GM #12002175

    #4------GM #12036913

    #5------GM #12002170

    #6------GM #12002143

    #7------GM #12002171

    #8------GM #12002171

Great information - the P/Ns will help me get the new ignition wires on correctly. I'll order the 618W set today - hopefully my radio will have less whine. I'm a little worried about the plastic parts breaking but we'll see how it goes.
