C1 ('60) windshield motor adjustment cable

Hello Forum. Have not had the need to post a repair question for quite a while. Which is good! Have one now at last.
My wiper blades got out of position such that they would be moved up the windshield when the car is picking up speed quickly and don't return to home base properly. I tried to adjust the wiper motor adjust cable position and could not seem to get it quite right.I went through the archives and found one partial response in terms of setting up the adjustment cable on top.

The wipers did work before and the motor was rebuilt. My question: Is there a straight forward adjustment process to follow between the interior wiper switch and cable adjustment screw on top of the wiper motor to set up the wipers? Do the wiper blades have to be repositioned for a fine adjustment?

    Regards for your input.

Re: C1 ('60) windshield motor adjustment cable

The cable only provides so much adjustment; the late C1 wiper motors are controlled by internal points for LO, HI and PARK and the arms for the points are pretty flimsy and go out of adjustment - the picture is from my '61. I actually had my wipers "pulse" mysteriously for a while -- moving up an inch or so while driving then settling back; very spooky....it was the points.

Its worth reading through the ST-12 so you know how the system operates and possible trouble spots:
