Correct Heater & A/C Control Light Bulbs... 1816 or 1893?

I'm working on replacing the bulbs in the center dash behind the heater, defroster and a/c controls. The 1965 Corvette Owner's manual states that the bulbs should be #1816, but the bulb kit that I purchased says #1893 What is correct?

James, I checked my 1965 AIM...

AC Control - C60 E8 Item 5 Bulb Part# 9416927

Heater Controls - UPC 1 ASM D7 Item 24 Bulb Part# 9416927

A P&A reference shows 9416927 is a #1893. It appears the Owners Manual is wrong.

Thanks for the response. The bulbs that are install now are the GE #1893's. I will assume that all the bulbs for these items should have the green shade on them? None of the three currently have the shades.

AC Control - C60 E8 Item 5 Bulb Part# 9416927

Heater Controls - UPC 1 ASM D7 Item 24 Bulb Part# 9416927

A P&A reference shows 9416927 is a #1893. It appears the Owners Manual is wrong.

Jim the owners manual generally has the bulb numbers also I believe.

James, Yes all three should have them, also shown on those AIM pages.

This is the differences in the bulbs identified in the 1965 Corvette Owners Manual and the bulb kit bought from Corvette Central.
