I just purchased and received timing chain cover for 427/425 being built. The there are no threads or a weld nut in center to receive bolt coming up in center attaching oil pan. On each end are weld nuts on cover to receive bolts at end. Could someone clarify?

What you have is a later cover which had the hole but no weld-nut. For 1967+ the hole was there but unused. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
