    holley 3370 date

    From what I understand they were dated year, month, week, what is a zero week. I have had this carb for over 30 yrs but who knows what took place before then.

    9= September, 0 for 10 = October, A = November and B = December.

      I am still a little confused, if the 3 digit codes were year, month, week, would a 6-1-0 not be 1966 or 1976 1 for January and 0 for ??? that is my question what is a zero week? Anyone having seen another Holley dated a zero week?

        Re: holley 3370 date

        Well I doubt the 6 represents 1976. In the early 70's, maybe 1971, '72 or, '73 the format on Holleys changed to the four digit date using the Julian calendar.

        That aside the 0 in the week designation position is a curious thing for which I don't have an answer. Holley did reproduce many of these carbs due to demand in the late very late 70's or early 80's. As I recall they did not have dates. Possibly the answer lies there.

          look on the backside of the carb, opposite where the 610 is stamped. does it appear there is some scaring in that area, indicating the date was stamped by a previous owner. mike

            When I pass my finger along both the side that has the stamp and the other side they are equally smooth no indication of being raised on the back side or any scaring to the metal

              Stupid idea... see if this is a possibility. Back in January of 1966, the 1st day of the year was on a Saturday... could Holley have worked that day? If so, look at the calendar provided... with the unique occurrence, could they have used the "0" for the split year, month, and week sequence?

                How about a 1980 dated replacement with the first digit of the Julian date missing

                  Read about a dimple that was drilled in the later carbs around the 1969 or so time frame is this the dimple that that article was talking about?

                    The date stamp appears heavier than the other numbers - 10-20 years ago - there were fabricators of these

                    the were not re-stamp because it was the first time it was stamped.
