Re: Houston Corvette Service
Story: In Sept 1963 I was living in my parents house working on my hot rod with a Corvette engine with 3 twos. There was a gas water heater in the corner of a one car garage. I was using Gunk Carb cleaner not far from the water heater as I was rebuilding the carbs.
All at once there was an explosion that blew the garage door off. I got burnt but not real bad.
. But a neighbor was burnt and to this day he has scars on his face.
My shop and garage has an electric furnace. I worry about fire all the time.
One more thing. I read too much about battery tenders on cars. It is your business but when I leave my garage and shop I made sure nothing is plugged in that could cause a fire.
My ultrasonic cleaner has Zip cleaner from Lowes in it. Green in color. Won't burn.- Top
